Dr. Bachofner received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Montana Skaggs School of Pharmacy in 2010. During her time at the University, she took an exercise class each semester for credit, every nutrition course offered to non-majors, medicinal plants, and Ayurvedic Medicine. With this background, she has naturally been inclined to focus on diet and exercise in addition to medications when necessary.
Her functional medicine education has come from various educational courses on her quest to determine the right certification path for her and her patient population.
Sarah's perfect day starts, before her family wakes, with a group exercise class, swim, bike or run followed by listening to a meditation in the steam room. She then loves reading a book (anything suspenseful or self-help) while sipping on a coffee, waiting for a warm breakfast. But, once reenergized, must promptly return home to her amazing family to see what the day brings! She and her family live in a beautiful log home that her husband designed and built. They spend as much time outside as possible. They love exploring, traveling, playing, reading together and spending time with other loved ones.
Sarah dated her best friend, Eric, for six years before they got married in 2009. They had been picturing starting a family for several years and, much to their excitement, were pregnant right away. The five years that followed were filled with lots of loss and confusion. Visits to a naturopath, acupuncturist, perinatologist, blood tests, DNA tests, water tests, soo much research and prayers. Those prayers were answered in 2014 with the birth of their daughter followed by the birth of their son in 2016. The years were tough, but they are who they are today because of them.
Sarah draws from those experiences along with her professional background to truly connect with each patient. She cares deeply for each patient's health journey and wants nothing more than to see each patient walk away with a newfound love for themselves and for life. What's holding you back from living your best life?
