Dr. Brice is an Integrative Pharmacist, uniting conventional medicine with complementary medicine. Her goal is to first look for root causes of symptoms and heal with safe remedies; while having the insight to know when prescription medication adds value.
Her focus includes Cardiovascular Disease Risk Reduction, Diabetes Management, Gut & Autoimmune Health, Pain & Emotional Health. She helps patients who struggle with underlying chronic inflammation or other imbalances to reignite their vitality.
Her approach includes comprehensive medication management and functional medicine. She will empower you to navigate multiple providers across our healthcare system. She will optimize and consolidate your treatment into one profile to more safely attain your health goals. She strives to transform the way you advocate and conquer your health issues.
Dr. Brice incorporates a holistic treatment plan that she named the CompassRx Approach, which uses the acronym NSEW. These modalities include Nutritional medicine (herbs, dietary), Supportive therapy (functional & lifestyle medicine, mind body therapy, body based), Eastern therapy (acupuncture, energy) and Western medicine (Rx, OTC).
Dr. Brice received her Doctorate in Pharmacy from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY after completing her Bachelors in Science at University of Michigan. She worked for ten years as a clinical hospital pharmacist in NJ at the Jersey City Medical Center. She then worked in a role she absolutely loved - remote clinical pharmacy. The positive patient experiences and plethora of inquiries into supplements and reducing prescription medicine solidified her transition to Integrative Pharmacy.
She recently completed the specialty certification for Integrative Pharmacist Specialist (IPS). She also is preparing for the board certification exam in Medication Therapy Management Service (BCMTMS). She has started the training course (AFMCP) through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Dr. Brice lives in northern NJ with her husband, two teenagers and her dog Toby. She loves tennis, yoga, dinners with friends and balancing her time between her job and family. Dr. Brice practices what she preaches, using integrative functional medicine for her and her daughters autoimmune issues for 15 years.
Dr. Brice feels strongly that patients should have a private space available to them for medication questions. Pharmacists working directly with patients in a more conductive manner improves overall health. Part of holistic health is also communicating with primary physicians on your treatment plan, whether providing you with a letter to share or mailing on your behalf. She wants you to feel you have a unified team working towards your goals.
She has her own Instagram blog called Sweet Almond Apothecary and posts tips on integrative medicine. She loves combining her passion for health and science with the healing practice of mind-body medicine.
