Your GI Report

Your Score is:

0-2 = Optimal
3-10 = Mild GI Dysfunction
11-20 = Moderate GI Dysfunction
21+ = Severe GI Dysfunction

If your total score is over 3, you most likely have mild to severe GI dysfunction whether you are experiencing typical GI symptoms or not. Remember, the GI system is linked to all major systems in the body so sub-optimal GI function can cause seemingly unrelated symptoms and underlie chronic health problems.

Most everyone can benefit from gut healing. It is important to find someone who is trained in evaluating and optimizing GI health and digestion so you are able to thrive. Our team at PharmToTable can help you with testing testing and develop an individualized treatment plan. This questionnaire can be revisited after implementing the protocol to track progress.

The 5R framework, a comprehensive approach to gut-healing, is the protocol used by functional medicine practitioners to treat gut imbalance and dysfunction.

The five R’s stand for:

  • Remove
  • Replace
  • Reinoculate
  • Repair
  • Re-balance.

We discuss the 5R approach in our Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) Part 2 post. In this post we detail the process we use to help each patient resolve gastrointestinal symptoms.
