Dr. Lesneski’s areas of focus are women’s health, gastrointestinal disorders, autoimmune disorders, and nutritional deficiencies. She also specializes in Pharmacogenetics and other chronic disease management using medications and lifestyle modifications. Her enthusiasm for functional medicine started with her own health, and her experiences with acid reflux and gut healing. Health starts in the gut. “Garbage in, garbage out.” She is ready to partner with you to transform your health and wellness, so that you may “live your best life!”

She currently offers a two-part elective to second and third year pharmacy students introducing them to Functional Medicine and approaching patient care form a root-cause perspective. Additionally, she teaches pharmacotherapy and pharmacogenetics topics to students in all 3 years. She offers fourth-year students a hands-on rotation in functional medicine at her practice site at Forum health.
Dr Lesneski lives in Tampa, FL in a 1920’s craftsman style bungalow with her senior dachshund. There, she is a member of Ye Loyal Krewe of Grace O’Malley and enjoys fundraising for charity and community involvement. Recently, she is loving learning more about fashion and capsule wardrobes! She loves to uplift and connect with women all over the country. Other hobbies include gardening, enology, and reading a good book.
Her personal functional medicine journey has included severe gastroesophageal reflux disease, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), candida overgrowth, food sensitivities, and leaky gut (intestinal permeability). With functional medicine approaches, the gut imbalances, food intolerances, and GERD were corrected. Conventional medicine falling short and not helping her symptoms or disease progression, has re-shaped her career to be more fulfilling and exciting than she ever imagined. She enjoys helping patients in a more meaningful and lasting way. She loves showing people what it truly means and feels like to be healthy.
