Dr. Lee believes that everyone has a path to better health and vitality. Her areas of focus include gut health, hormone balance, mental health, skin issues and nutritional deficiencies. She uses the functional medicine approach, combined with her hospital experience, to get to the root cause of issues. Dr. Lee enjoys forming partnerships with her patients and is here to listen, understand and resolve symptoms.
Dr. Lee graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore in 2007 with a PharmD and MBA dual degree. She has been a clinical pharmacist at the Johns Hopkins Hospital for over 14 years and has expertise in children and young adults, specifically in pediatric oncology.
Dr. Lee has completed the foundational course, Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP), and is currently pursuing certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Pearl lives in the suburbs of Howard County, Maryland with her husband Arsham, daughter Mila and dog Pippa. She loves being in nature and by the water. Her favorite activities are paddle boarding, running, weight training and reading non-fiction books.
Her personal health journey ignited her interest in functional medicine. She was looking for the “why” that caused her fertility issues. She has used functional medicine to solve her own hormone, skin, and thyroid issues. With ample personal experience, Pearl strongly believes in the healing power of functional medicine.
