Dr. Wagner is passionate about helping patients restore their health and vitality by finding and addressing the root causes of disease. She believes many health issues today are caused by modern society’s beliefs and practices, and through education, she empowers patients to learn how to both get well and stay well. By taking the time to thoroughly listen to each individual’s unique story and health challenges, she is able to help the body start its own intuitive healing process.
While Dr. Wagner is able to help patients overcome a variety of chronic conditions, she has received additional training in gastrointestinal health, toxicity, nutritional deficiencies, pharmacogenomics, epigenetics, and sleep and stress management. She looks forward to working with you, as she believes everyone deserves to feel vibrant enough to perform at their best throughout life!
Dr. Wagner has been helping patients achieve optimal pharmaceutical health and wellness for over 10 years.
After experiencing first-hand how functional medicine can help heal chronic health issues, she became passionate about continuing to learn alternative and holistic health care practices. She is currently finishing training through the School of Applied Functional Medicine, has completed the University of Colorado Pharmacogenomics Certificate Program, and has also received training as an Epigenetic Coach via Apeiron Academy. Dr. Wagner is excited to have joined the PharmToTable team in order to reach and help more patients!
Dr. Wagner completed her Bachelor of Science in biology at The University of Wisconsin-Madison, then went on to obtain her Doctorate in Pharmacy through the University of Pittsburgh. Afterward, she completed a one-year pharmacy practice residency at The Ohio State University. Dr. Wagner stayed on to work at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where she primarily covers internal medicine and cardiology.
Dr. Wagner found functional medicine after experiencing first-hand how gut dysbiosis and chronic stress can cause profound illness in the body. By using lifestyle modifications along with functional medicine principles, she was able to restore her own sense of health and well-being. She is excited to begin working with you, as she believes the same transformation is possible via education and empowerment. Her belief is that everyone deserves to feel healthy and energetic enough in order to do both what they love and spend time with those they love.
Dr. Wagner lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and daughter. If she had to name her top passion (outside of functional medicine) it would be traveling, followed closely by cooking/baking and being outdoors. She also enjoys watching college sports and spending time with friends and family.
