Dr. Sullivan aims to educate, empower, and help her clients become advocates in their health journey. Her focus area is gut health and healing a dysfunctional gut in order to improve or stop disease processes. Nutritional deficiencies often cause a lot of disease in our bodies and proper functioning and healing processes require adequate nutritional support. Addressing underlying causes and managing chronic disease can greatly impact long-term health outcomes. Her passion for functional medicine started within her own family. First, through equine rehab and further down the line it became about herself and her special needs daughter. Now she’s ready to help her clients learn more about their bodies and help them heal from the inside out!
Dr. Sullivan is passionate about the underlying causes of disease and educating clients to be advocates for their own health journey. Her mission is to educate and help her clients live healthier, happier lives in which they can achieve their individual desires.
She is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy as well as University of Findlay College of Business. She completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Her functional medicine knowledge has been a lifetime in the making through various conferences, educational programs, and work experience. She is currently enrolled in programs with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the School of Applied Functional Medicine. Dr. Sullivan feels both these programs will greatly benefit her practice and her ability to improve the health of her clients. She is currently focusing on gut health and the healing properties that occur once the gut is balanced and functioning properly. She is available for both virtual visits anywhere in Indiana or Ohio and face-to-face visits in Terre Haute, Indiana.
She grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana where she now resides once again. She lived in Columbus, Ohio during early pharmacy school then lived in London, Ohio for ten years where she loved the community and small-town feel. After getting married in 2014 and having three children, she decided to move back to Indiana to be closer to her family.
She is a mom of two busy boys and a special needs mom to a little girl. “Care for Carley” is her platform for her daughter as well as a budding non-profit with goals to help others like Carley gain access to equipment and healthcare. As a family, they enjoy their horses, camping, and exploring nature. She is a gardening enthusiast and loves photography and art. She is a published author and has plans to continue expanding that platform.
Her functional medicine journey started in equine through rehab practices, healing their gut and physical damage through supplementation, proper body carriage, and alternative healing therapies. After having a special needs child and working in independent pharmacy, compounding pharmacy, and clinical and oncology hospital pharmacy it became the right time to dive deeper into human medicine and combine her knowledge. These experiences have all contributed to developing her career and improving the outcomes of her clients.
