Dr. Knipe’s focus areas are digestive disorders, blood sugar imbalance issues, and nutritional deficiencies, as these represent some of the most foundational elements of health gone wrong. Correcting issues in these areas is also the first step in addressing numerous downstream health problems and disease states, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hormone imbalances, and autoimmune diseases. Dr. Knipe discovered a passion for functional medicine after observing numerous patients over the years using increasing amounts of pharmaceuticals for an ever-evolving number of conditions, without getting any better. She will show you how to use various lifestyle modifications to address the root causes of chronic health issues and move from the disease-fighting track to the disease-prevention track so that you can get back to living your life.
Dr Knipe is a graduate of Temple University School of Pharmacy. After becoming a pharmacist, she discovered her true passion for holistic health and wellness, and became certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association. She has since sought to immerse herself in the functional medicine world whenever possible, always seeking continuing education opportunities through various modalities.
Dr. Knipe loves any means of being active and outside in nature - particularly hiking, biking, yoga, and strength training. She has a fierce passion for travel and seeing the world, and loves immersing herself in different cultures and meeting and connecting with new people. She loves spending time with friends, family and loved ones, especially while enjoying her favorite activities, and also enjoys reading, loves learning, and is a die-hard Philadelphia Phillies fan. Her drive for functional medicine is key in helping her to be able to continue to pursue her favorite pastimes and live life to the fullest. And who knows, maybe someday she'll bring functional medicine to the Phillies. Never stop dreaming. ;)
